Nursing Assistant, Mora Health Center Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, your tasks will consist of patient work and related tasks such as sampling, handling samples, EKG sampling, assisting in examinations and minor surgeries, blood pressure measurements including 24-hour measurements, spirometry, dressings, telephone contacts, 1177 e-services, booking patients for visits, and managing waiting lists, replenishing materials, and more.

Nursing assistants employed at Mora Health Center provide the emergency reception in Northern and Western Dalarna with nursing assistant resources during the emergency reception's opening hours on weekends and public holidays. At the emergency reception, you will work as a nursing assistant together with a doctor and a medical secretary, and you will be scheduled every eighth weekend.

Requirements:

• you are a trained nursing assistant who has completed the Health and Care program or the vocational package Health and Care in adult education.
• you have a diploma from the Health and Care College

We are looking for someone who is interested in working with primary care assignments! Furthermore, you have a positive attitude and see opportunities instead of obstacles, you communicate easily, enjoy teamwork, and are also comfortable working independently. You can handle stressful situations and quickly adapt to changing conditions. Taking responsibility for the primary care mission and contributing to a good working climate is a given for you, and you enjoy working with development and improvement tasks.

Information about the Job Title

As of July 1, 2023, the title nursing assistant is a protected job title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/underskoterska-blir-en-skyddad-yrkestitel/). This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in health and care.

You can apply for the certificate from July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in health and care, but with a different title than nursing assistant. For those offered a job with us in Region Dalarna after July 1, the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. If you had a permanent position with the title nursing assistant when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the nursing assistant title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplaces/employers after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate of protected job title to use the title nursing assistant.

This job involves direct and regular contact with children and/or young people.
